I visited this park a few years back with family and it was very fun. They have many lifeguards on duty so you always feel safe. The rides are worth the wait and the environment is fun and inviting! From the lazy river to the oh so fun and thrilling slides the park is fun for the whole family!
When you are in Hurricane Harbor, it feels more relaxing than Six Flags Theme Park. There is NO SMOKING in the Harbor. Guests must wear swim suits. (No swim suits allowed at Theme Park.) The food is good, but there are no air conditioned restaurants. There are some tables with umbrellas, and some tables without umbrellas. No food may be brought into the park, but there are picnic tables available across from the front of the parking lot. Best time to go is on week days. Weekends are very busy, and they won't let in people once they've reached the occupancy limit. There is a free shuttle bus available between the Harbor and Park (and drop off location), Both venues have security checkpoints. There is usually a queue for guests with NO bags or strollers at both. One of the rides (looks like a giant Cobra) was rated among the Top Ten water rides in the world! There is a kids' water area, lazy river tube that circles the Harbor, and other thrill rides. Lifeguards are on duty all day. Hint: school trips and summer camps leave around 4 pm during the week.
Be aware promotions with gold pass don't apply to Hurricane Harbor. I had a bring a friend for free and two gold combo passes brought a group with me and upon entrance was denied promo. Told this is only for theme park. I explain to two different guest relations over the phone prior to the trip my plan all said yes. I arrived at the park to be denied and had to pay. First and last time thanks Six Flags for embarrassing my friends, family and me. Terrible experience!!!!
@SixFlags the worse experience ever! Went to six flags hurricane harbor on Sunday July 2, we bought the tickets in advance and we were a party of 18 we had kids with us. Three of my cousins came a little bit later because we all drive separately and once they got there they were told they could go in because the park was full while there kids were inside already!! And then tried to offer them to get free tickets to six flags!! Why would they go to six flags while the whole family is in hurricane harbor!!! And then we tried to ask for a refund because we did drive 2 and half hours and they tell us they can always use that for other days!!! I think it's ridiculous!!! We want our money back!!!!!!
Great selection of rides. Loose article policy is different from most parks, you have to buy a locker ($1 for 2 hours) or leave them with a non-rider. Typically don't let you leave anything in the station. Lines can be long, especially in the fall for Fright Fest. Try to get there early (before 1PM), or stay late (after 8PM) for the shortest lines if visiting in the summer. Weekdays also tend to be less crowded.
