Make sure to ride this great rollercoaster.
Pretty overrated. Sure, it's got some airtime, but I though Apollo's Chariot was better, just because I didn't get as good of a ride on Nitro. That being said, I have only been on Nitro once.
This roller coaster may not be the fastest or most insane ride in Great Adventure, but it's one of my favorite coasters in the park due to its longer ride time (especially given the amount of time waiting on line for each of the roller coasters)! This ride is typically on my must-do list each time I'm at the park. Go for it!
Probably the best all-around coaster in the park. It's fast, it's high, and you're never completely upside down. I would recommend it to anyone who can safely ride.
Nitro, while not being very unique, certainly is an amazing experience. The comfy trains and the amazing amount of floater airtime is surely not to be underestimated. Many people say this is one of the weaker, if not the weakest B&M hyper coaster. If this is the weakest, I can't wait to hit up some of the others. I could marathon this coaster and never get bored. The feeling you get when you are soaring high over those hills is amazing. Plus the seats and restraints are super comfortable. You could be stapled and not be annoyed with it. I wouldn't say this is an intense ride, but there is one very intense moment, the helix. You pull a lot of Gs in that helix and it is very possible that you will grey out. Then you are just thrown into the mid-course brake run, then being catapulted through more hills with awesome airtime. Nitro was a coaster that really took me by surprise and if you ever get the chance, don't hesitate. Ride this beast!
Best rollercoaster in park. Most exciting to be in 1st row. One car before last usually has the most smooth ride. 4 people in every row. 1st thing is a drop down to 70mph and when go up make sure to make your best face and act for flash camera. After there are many camel humps that make you feel flying up. Holding on only needed in the abrupt slow down before the last part and at the end of the ride.
